Saturday May 17th 1:30-3:30pm
Taught by Sophie Kaufman
Multi-Stage Drops Workshop
This workshop is for those who want to add a little more flair to their single-stage drops! We will talk about drills for shape changes in the air and ways to make multi-stage drops look seamless.
Pre-requisites: Students should be able to execute safe and tight single star drops and saultos.
Instructor bio: Sophie Kaufman grew up in Brattleboro, Vermont where she was lucky to discover circus at a young age. She spent much of her childhood in the air with the New England Center for Circus Arts. Upon moving to Boston to attend Suffolk University, she started training and teaching at Esh. She has been teaching circus arts since 2014.
Sophie has enjoyed performing with NECCA, Circus617, and The Forest of Mystery. She credits circus with her ability to express herself openly and creatively, and believes that it is the best way in which to meet incredible people. Sophie’s favorite part of her circus-teaching journey has been becoming one of the strong female coaches that she remembers looking up to as a kid. She just needs her first tattoo to solidify the image.
Open to students ages 14+
Cancellation/Refund Policy: Students must give 1 weeks notice for cancellation otherwise there are no refunds.
